New technology, developed with leading biofuel supplier Greenergy, further improves the sustainability of biodiesel production CommentsMike Erdmann 07/12/2008 4:45pm
I live in the U S A in southern Utah, town of La Verkin. I am a subscriber to Biodiesel magazine who makes small batches of biodiesel for personal use from waste oil from Wendy's. I have searched out your site in an effort to find a way to effectivly deal with my crude glycerin either burning for heat or as you have done for power generation. Do you have any sugestions that would help a small potato like me deal with this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What happens to all of the salt and ash in crude glycerine from biodiesel production? Does this affect the fired heater internals or refactory?

We are operating in Volos Greece an 80.000 tons/year biodiesel plant, and are very much interested in learning more about the combustion of biodiesel crude glycerol in standard diesel-engined Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generators.
