Glycerin CHP: your questions answered 16/01/2009
Since the announcement of our breakthrough technology for glycerin CHP we have been inundated with commercial enquiries and technical questions. CommentsMon, 26 Jan 2009 1:23:42 am We have the capability of producing three million gallons of biodiesel per year. Our feedstock is waste vegetable oil and canola that we grow, crush, and refine. Currently we burn our glycerin co-product. We are looking into other methods of handling our glycerin because the methanol content is high ~8% which makes it a class I material. I would also like to know if you can mix the glycerin with soaps and gums and use the CHP to combust all of our co-products. How much would it cost to distill the salts and install a CHP gen set in our facitity. We would only need to purchase the equipment because we have the utilities and installation staff on site.
