Renewable CHP

Aquafuel's patented technology uses a wide range of renewable byproducts to fuel off-the-shelf diesel engine generators. These are configured as modular CHP plants in the 0.5 -10 MW range, providing power and process steam or hot water. They can be integrated into the plants that produce the byproduct, and excess power can be sold to the grid. Overall profitability is much higher than sale or disposal of the byproduct.  Plants can also provide standalone CHP for commercial or residential property developments.  An engine driven CHP plant uses the grid as backup, providing increased power security.

CHP Applications

CHP for biodiesel plants and integrated CHP for seed oil refineries.

WID compliant CHP for abbatoirs, rendering and meat processing plants. For example, an integrated abbatoir and rendering plant operation producing 40 tonnes a week of tallow can use this to fuel 1 MW of electricity in an integrated CHP plant.  The electricity can replace grid power, and any excess can be sold to the grid. The heat output can be integrated into the existing steam or hot water infrastructure; engine generation means complete flexibility to utilize the waste heat as process steam or hot water, as required.
